This isn't my first digital painting but it was tough. This time around I wanted to experiment with the ugly and the beautiful. The first idea that popped into my mind is to strip a monster of its dark environment and bring it into a wide open lush field. Pyramid Head from Silent Hill was the obvious choice because of his merciless demeanor (no talk, all stalk) with his tortured body wrapped in a skin dress made from his victims. I thought putting something of that gory nature into actual nature could be interesting. Pyramid Head tortures, rapes, and kills everything on sight, which made me laugh at the thought of his first encounter with a butterfly. So, here we are.
